Tips for Performing

Practise makes perfect!
Slowly practice the sections of the music you are not sure of - don't always start at the beginning
Warm-up properly before you begin - it will make the tone of the instrument or voice sound better.
Don't just perform the 'notes' - think about expression, phrasing and dynamics (loud and soft)
Try to get fully involved in the performance - it will make the music sound more convincing.
Practise with the pianist or other musicians well before the exam date - it will make you more confident

Remember to ask your teacher if you need any help or advice about the piece of music you want to perform
